Before we close the chapter on Provincials 2010, it is important to acknowledge those who helped to make it such an outstanding event.
Firstly to all of the competing athletes, for you are what this tournament is all about. Congratulations on the standard of rugby you have played and the spirit of sportsmanship you have shown. You have been worthy ambassadors for you school and community.
To all coaches and sponsors for the commitment and expertise that has helped to bring our athletes to the high level of rugby evident at this competition.
From an organizational point of view everything worked very smoothly, and this is due to a dedicated group of men, many of whom have worked together at this event for many years.
To our team of officials, as well as our risk management personnel who did such a great job of patching up the ‘walking wounded’.
We should also not overlook our two major sponsors – Frontrow Photography and International Athletic. Their support is very much appreciated.
Last but not least, a sincere thank you to the City of Abbotsford Parks, Recreation and Culture Department and to Tourism Abbotsford. You have made us most welcome, and have worked hard to make our transition to your community a smooth and seamless one. We look forward to returning next year.
