SCHEDULE NOTES

  1. Premier matchups, as much as possible, will feature 1st XV, 2nd XV and Junior XV
  2. League, Playoff, Cup and Island information

The top Tier 1 league finisher will play vs Oak Bay for the Howard Russell Cup on May 16. The winner of this game, if a AAA school, will represent the South Island vs North Island AAA1 on Thursday, May 23. Both the Island AAA final winner and loser will/may qualify directly for the BC AAAA (Open) Tournament. The loser will qualify directly for the BC AAA Tier 1 Tournament.

If either SMUS or GNS, as AA schools, qualify for the Howard Russell Cup final, win or lose they will represent the South Island as AA1 seed vs North Island AA1 on Thursday, May 23. Both Island AA finalists will qualify directly for the BC AA Tier 1 Tournament.

The second and third place Tier 1 league finishers will play for the Colonel Hodgkins Cup on May 16. Both the winner and loser will then play May 23 in the South Island-North Island AA or AAA crossovers matches.

The fourth place Tier 1 league finisher will either have a bye on May 16 (or play Reynolds for the Community Bowl), but then play a South Island- North Island crossover match on May 23

Results from Lower Island Junior league games and playoffs then will be used to determine the two top teams.

LVISSAA Junior semi finals will take place on May 8. The league winner will host league 4, while league 2 will host league 3. The respective winners will meet May 13 at a venue tbc. Both teams will advance to the Island tournament, with 1 vs 2 crossover zone semi-finals vs North Island scheduled for May 16. The two semi-final winners will then play either May 21 or 23 in the Island Junior final. Both teams will qualify for the eight team BC Junior Tournament quarterfinals on Saturday, May 25, to be hosted on Vancouver Island.

The BC Junior tournament will then conclude May 29-31 in Abbotsford. The four quarterfinal winners will comprise the Final 4.
