Carson Graham Invited to Prestigious Tournament in Japan
The Carson Graham Eagles have once again been invited to compete in the Sanix World Rugby Youth Invitational Tournament which is held every year during the Golden Week holidays (April 29 to May 5) in Fukuoka prefecture, Japan. Participation in this prestigious event is by invitation only, and the overseas schools selected by their respective unions are expected to be among the top five in the country. The event is hosted by the Japan Rugby Football Union and supported by various local bodies. The Global Arena in Munakata, Kyushu, is the venue for this tournament between eight top Japanese and eight top teams from various other countries. The first one was held in 2000. It is a unique competition in world rugby for high schools, and is almost a ‘mini World Cup’. Best wishes for success to coach Tom Larisch and the boys from Carson Graham.
