BCSSRU SCHOLARSHIPS 2012

A reminder to graduating rugby student-athletes that the application deadline for all BCSSRU Scholarships is Friday, April 13, 2012. Criteria and Application Procedures are set out in detail on the scholarships page of this website.

Please note that it is not necessary for a candidate to specify a particular scholarship in Section A.  Also, the jointly sponsored BCRRS/BCSSRU Referee Scholarship is targeted to graduating students who have a strong interest in refereeing rugby, and who intend to complete the two levels of IRB certification in this field.

If you have any questions or concerns, please direct them to Brian Lynch, Chair of the Scholarship Committee, at brianlynch40@shaw.ca.

Whistle Talk – News from the BCRRS

From time to time the BC Rugby Referees’ Society will publish a newsletter featuring discussion on the Laws of the Game, and the impact they have on the way the game is played in British Columbia.  As the IRB clarifies the Laws with its policies and rulings, it is hoped that this newsletter will do the same for officials, coaches, players and fans.  For a copy of the current laws, go to http://www.irblaws.com/EN/downloads
